Jennifer K. Moses

Protest II, Hong Kong is part of a series of works inspired by the common visual language felt and seen whenever large numbers of people mass and unite in protest. The series began during the Global Protest Wave of 2019 and continued with renewed urgency in June 2020, responding to the energy and imagery of public dissent in a world desperate for transformation.

Jennifer K. Moses lives and paints in Boston. She received her BFA from Tyler School of Art, and MFA in Painting from Indiana University. She has been included in exhibitions across the country and throughout New England and is represented by the Kingston Gallery in Boston. Her work has been reviewed in Art New England Magazine, The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald, and Sculpture Magazine. Moses’ work has been published in New American Paintings and in the book Making Abstract Art. Awards include a Blanche E. Colman award, a Faculty Scholars Grant from the University of New Hampshire, and residencies at Yaddo, Jentel, Ragdale, and Roswell. Moses is a professor of art at the University of New Hampshire.
