About
Founded by artist Lisha Bai, Studio Archive Project was born out of Bai’s desire to connect people looking for thoughtful and compelling art with a curated selection of work direct from artists’ archives. Bai wanted to give people beginning or growing their collection a way to access these often hidden works while supporting artists.
Studio Archive Project offers a curated selection of contemporary painting, sculpture, and works on paper, from the studio archives of established artists. Presented in virtual and on-site exhibitions as well as an online catalog, Studio Archive Project aims to make artwork more accessible to people who love art.
Our artists are dedicated to their work, and have been recognized and supported by many institutions including the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, The Joan Mitchell Foundation, and New York Foundation for the Arts, and elsewhere. To get to know the artists on the site, peruse their profiles here and to access the full selection of curated works from artist’s archives have a look here.
